I'm going to tell you from my experience what works and what doesn't... This might help some of you and then some of it you probably already know. -What Does- Hardware: Canon i560 printer (detected by Vista automatically) Flash drive (Sandisk Cruzer Mini) Card Reader for digital camera Rio S35S MP3 player (use the disc that came with it) Logitech Wingman controller Logitech MX510 mouse Logitech Elite Keyboard Proview 19" monitor Ati Radeon X1600 PRO NVIDIA Network Adapter Software: Rio Music Manager version 2.90 Lavasoft Adaware 1.06 SE Personal Ares 1.91 Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus GAIM 1.5.0 HP Photosmart Photo Printing version 1.3.1.19 Sierra Print Artist 8.0 DAZ Bryce 5.5 Microsoft Picture It! 10 Quake III Arena Adobe Photoshop 5.5 Avast! anti-virus 4.7 -What Does But Needs Work- Hardware: Creative Audigy 5.1 (24-bit) - must use KX drivers and only lime-green audio jack works. When resuming from sleep, there's no sound also Software: Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP - Screensavers work. Desktop themes work. All games but Labyrinth work. Error while installing. -What Does Not For Me- Hardware: Visioneer 5800 USB scanner Software: Microsoft Picture It! Photo Premium 2001 - installs and opens, but when you go to open a file, you always get a stopped working message Asus Probe version 22301 (or older) - NTVDM encountered a hard error when you try to install it

Travis, I was able to load drivers and software for my Visioneer USB 8900 scanner by exploring the set-up disc and changing all of the properties that can be run in XP SP2 mode before running the setup.exe file. (X86 version)

I did get my scanner to get installed, but when I scan, it gets half-way through previewing (when I go to preview the scan) then it gets stuck. "Travis King" wrote in message
